DropGallery's client applications quickly install on your computers or mobile devices and sync your photos to your online gallery.
DropGallery is easy. Once you have installed DropGallery on your computer, we do the rest. Use the DropGallery folder like any other folder on your computer. The only difference is any all image files are automatically synced to your DropGallery Online. Any changes you make in this folder are instantly reflected in your online gallery. If you rename a folder, or photo this change is synced to the web where you will immediately see the change. If you delete, move a folder or photo in your DropGallery folder you will see that change as soon as the sync is finished.
Your DropGallery Online is identical to the folder on your computer that you can access from anywhere with an internet connection. You can install DropGallery on as may devices as you wish and they will all be linked to your DropGallery account. The other computers and mobile devices will show up in the navigation bar of your online gallery as devices
DropGallery Windows’s client installs on any of your windows devices and creates a DropGallery folder to sync your photos to your online gallery. DropGallery is designed to look and act like a normal folder in your computer.
DropGallery will install itself by default in My Pictures. To locate this folder, simply open My Documents, then My pictures, double click DropGallery. Any photo or folder you move into your DropGallery folder will sync to your online gallery. The simple controls for the program are located on the lower right hand side of your screen in the system tray. Right click on the DropGallery parrot icon in the system tray to access the controls. Get in the habit of storing your photos in your DropGallery folder to ensure they are safe in case your computer is lost, stolen or broken.
DropGallery Mac client installs on any of your Macintosh devices and creates a DropGallery folder to sync your photos to your online gallery. Just like the Windows Client, DropGallery’s Mac Application installs on your Macintosh quickly and easily and syncs the contents of your DropGallery folder to your DropGallery Online web gallery. Once installed, the controls are found in the upper right hand side of your screen in your menu extras. Clicking on the DropGallery icon will open the controls.
DropGallery is available as a mobile app for Iphone in the Apple App Store, and soon will be available in the Android Market for Android devices.
DropGallery Mobile syncs the user’s mobile gallery to their DropGallery Online where the photos are instantly available for viewing. Today’s mobile devices can create excellent quality photographs that rival some cameras. DropGallery offers a quick, easy and secure way to store, view and share your mobile images on your Iphone and Android device. DropGallery's website is your online photo gallery, where you can view and share your photo collection with your personal DropGallery Online.
Your personal DropGallery Online is created using a personal subdomain that reflects your username. An example of a personal subdomain is: http://user1.dropgallery.com. When you are selecting your username use a name that you would like to see in your subdomain. If you are using DropGallery for your business, use your business name if it is available. If you are using DropGallery for a school project select a name that reflects the name of the project.
Your DropGallery Online allows you to set your images to either public or private. If you have your photos organized into multiple subfolders, be aware that you cannot set a folder to public if it is already contained within a private folder. If you wish to do this, navigate to your DropGallery folder in your computer and move the folder you wish to make public out of that folder. As soon as the sync is finished you may then set that folder to public or private. The DropGallery Online is a exact reflection of the DropGallery folder in your computer, so any organizing, moving, adding , renaming, and deleting of images that is done on your computer will be replicated online.
DropGallery Online allows you to share the contents of your DropGallery folder with anyone from any computer or device with an internet connection.
To share a folder or an image, simply click the Share link on the top right hand side of the screen, click the copy button and paste the link wherever you wish.In the coming weeks we have decided to completely document and release our API. This will allow users and hobbyists to build and customize features for DropGallery that you would like to use.
